Numb Rear

I sit in my cage each day
and watch the world pass me by
The walls are crying
They are melting away
I sit in that old squeaky chair
Praying something will happen
But it never does
So I turn on the TV
and watch things happen
For awhile,vicariously living through
the white smiled good looking guys
My abuelita comes in
Interrupting my day dreams
She begs me to eat
Hell if I'm gonna let
my body get the best of me
I deny the both of them
and blankly stare back at the tube
I get a few calls
Someone always wanting something
Smashing that phone is inevitable
I just sit there
Not moving, not thinking, not anything
Ain't life grand
