Nothingness

I see in all eyes and hear in all cries
The terror and horror of today

A dreadful sense of sheer disbelief

This is surreal, this whole ordeal
And utterly appalling

I see on all faces, and hear in all places
The terror and horror of tomorrow

A dreadful sense of sheer panic

This is surreal, this whole ordeal
And utterly appalling

I see in each pair of horrified eyes
The meaning of being scared

A dreadful sense of sheer helplessness

This is surreal, this whole ordeal
And utterly appalling

I hear in each scream, each terrified cry
The truth behind the lies

A dreadful sense of nothingness

This is surreal, this whole ordeal
And utterly appalling
