Not As I Will

A drop in the ocean,
a light beam of the sun,
self-centered thought counts not,
but Consciousness is One.

He spoke hard words,
exposing evil, dethroning self,
he was a stranger among his own, yet,
loved he to the end.

So,let me be dethroned,
from ego false, self-built,
Lord, speak the Word,
cut deep and wound

the callous places of the heart,
that Your light may pierce, divide,
and human will -- beforeYour gaze-
as no-thing, melt and part.
