No Tears
No Tears
From the roar of quiet hearts
The call for Change, Change!
Echoed over the lands and seas
For War had rendered and trashed all
Peace and Love lay in ruins
Taking sons and daughters
From the arms of parents
Left with only grief to hold to their breast
The fall of Mankind, to the serpents tongue
Prophets had foretold, crying to the deaf
Moved by the desire for truth, change
Is it Fate or a warning?
Is this world not built for change?
Can you lay down your thirst?
For your imagined needs
Exchange selfish desires for self-less ambition.
Or is it better to accept our doom
For the pleasures we enjoy
Driven onward by our chosen masters
Ignoring even the doctors and healers advice
Diabetics say, “Cut off my feet, I'll eat my cake.”
Agreement from all who watch the crippling
Deformity wins over health to the slothful
For the greedy cry, “Treatment, cures don't pay!”
And you ask me why I am ready to leave?
My eyes are open, friends, I can't pretend blindness.
I hear the pains of this world of choice.
Day and night this symphony plays.
My existence is more than just me
You are here also, in this hell
And it's your choices that lead you here.
My right is to choice also and I choose death.
When I die burn my body, caste the ashes to the winds
Mark no grave for me, speak my name no more
Forget I was here, for you offend me
I will shed no tears for those I leave behind.
