New Beginnings

A hurt so fresh
A wound quite deep
I have this wish
I cannot keep

A tender heart
Desirable to hold
A wounded heart
Protecting it's mold

We hold our shield
To protect and wield
We build our wall
No more we'll fall

My wish is this
So simple, so sound
To see you smile
Happiness now found
