Nefertiti
Nefertiti means, in sum, "the beautiful one is come"
a swan-like neck and flawless face with curvaceous figure and grace
Accouterments found in cultures who are rapacious vultures
Fawning subjects succumb to her glorious aplomb
She and husband's domicile on the east bank of the Nile
Pharaoh's palace of fine splendor and incredible grandeur
Pools, courtyards and throne rooms; dazzling burial, chamber tombs
With a sumptuous lifestyle, untold riches to beguile
She was both queen and goddess, serving as the high priestess
in ceremonies religious at the Window of Appearances
Wielding enormous power, on occasions the avower
of standards specious, consequential or egregious
Nerfertiti all aglow thirty-three hundred years ago
Accustomed to regal's best, died to funereal unrest
This long forgotten mummy was reduced to what is slummy
Her battered bones you know are now scattered stones to throw
