My sailor girl

My little girl is all grown up,
A Sailor now, she makes the cut.
Standing so tall and proud,
your destiny you have finally found.
My wish for you is only this,
 that you look ahead with no remiss.
And that you do your very best
with every challenge and every test.
My Navy girl so strong and brave,
Your determination cannot be waved.
In my heart I know you’re well
Although I wished you could call my cell.
To let me know you’re all good
If you were permitted, I know you would.
Being there may seem tough,
But know Im here when it gets rough.
