My Doppelganger and Me

My doppelganger is watching me
From the shadows again;
I wish he wouldn't do that
But lately that's how he's been.
My doppelganger is reaching for me;
What could he possibly want?
We shouldn't be this close
He's always trying to haunt.
My doppelganger is replacing me
Or is it the other way around?
I'm afraid that after tonight
Neither one of us will be found.
