Miracles

Alone, in the failing light I stand.
Looking, in the glorious past I stand.
Fading, my life is about to end.
Crying, I want it all to end.

Running, not me, but another I hear.
Laughing, the good doctor I hear.
The darkening stops,
Warmth flows to me,
What miracles dance upon the floor?

The storm outside the window
Flees from the sunshine at my feet.
The little hands
Reach up to me.

And sorrow is cured
By the trust incurred
Of my only little girl.
