lying lips

lying lips are an abomination to the Lord
grievous are they, piercing like a sword.
full of cruelty, very deceitful
oppression & revolt, are their equal.

lying lips shall be made silent
they are only for a moment.
their pride shall be taken away
never to see the light of day.
for they will be punished
and completely diminished
they will not tarry in God's sight
for His judgment is always right.
to dwell in His house, they will not
His Kingdom will never be their lot.

lying lips are proud & contemptuos
they are against all who live in His Righteousness.
foolish are they, that hide their hate
bearing false witness, lying in wait.
blessing with their mouth, cursing in their heart
hating the afflicted right from the start.

deliver us from lying lips please Lord
from the will of our enemy, by your spiritual sword.
