Love & War

Truth forgotten
 Hope is lost
 Relinquished to dusk
 Lost to time

 Forgotten memories
 Lost dreams
 Friends released
 To eternal sleep

 Sleep comes
 Happiness leaves
 Unbroken become broken
 Truth becomes lie

 Memory forsaken
 For none to find
 Harmony murdered
 For all to see

 Peace interrupted
 Within oneself

 War is waged
 Forever more

 War is forever
 Within oneself
 Neither losing
 Nor winning

 Lost to indecision
 The heart falls
 The mind falters
 Truth snaps

 Sanity breaks
 Trust deluded
 By the iron gaze

 All eternity
 War is fought
But with whom is it fought
 Not with the enemy
 But with oneself

 Lost to uncertainty
 Light shall die
 Losing creation forever more

 Darkness shrouds
 Darkness destroys
 Darkness envelops

 Shall light create?
 With help of love

 Shall darkness destroy?
 With help of fear

 Neither wins
 The scale is balanced
 Both equal in power

 Until the scale
 Shall be tipped
 War continues
 To the death.
