Lost Eden

The winds have been unleashed on the fake paradise
Carrying away candor, beauty and good feelings

Of the former eden it remains a charnel
and in the midst a pit full of crawling vermin
whose putrid tentacles extend to grasp your legs
to slyly drag you in the bowels of the earth

The splendid flowerbeds which have gone with the wind
were a hidden depot of dark lethal weapons.

Smiling masks have fallen revealing hideous grin
Wings of angels fallen, now they crawl in the dust
Wildflowers have been canned, torrents sleep into jars

Now proud dragons charmers ride only slimy slugs
Once painters of the stars move their stumps in the mud
Stallions were castrated and await their flattery

Carried by the wild winds, rebellious flower seeds
And bulbs of hyacinths roll over the parched ground,
symbols of renewal and everlasting hope
in search of new heaven for planting memories
