Losing touch

Unfamiliar hands touching me
Violence coiled just underneath my skin
bound in contradiction
Insomnia and black coffee
crack softly the borders
between words, phrases
sentences, paragraphs
sentiments, ideas
faces, names
voices, demeanors
Patterns.
Variables.
clarity, incomprehensibility
Who are you?
and...why are we friends?
You love me, I can tell, but
you're just information.
curiosity.
Energies of shifting color and density
Erratic and transient intensity
the mastery thereof never quite found.
Negative reflections of the false formulas
swallowed but unmetabolized

I'm 22 years old and poetry and lyricism are pretty much my passion though my various styles still have a good bit of growing to do. In addition to writing poetry I'm also an amateur alternative hip hop artist with material focused on lyrical intricacy. If you'd have any questions or comments or would just like to talk about poetry or lyricism or music please don't hesitate to contact me at roboticdaydream@yahoo.com more…
