Live By The Sin Die By The Sin

I feel the cold stark steel against my neck
The jagged claws that steal my breath
The hot metal teeth that scare me to death
As a knife is pressed against my chest

I feel the cold stark steel against my back
I hear the click of the trigger as a bullet is shot
I feel the hot metal burrow deep into my skin
And the burning sensation that never gives in

I feel the hot metal steel as it enters my skin
The souring pain I feel from deep within
The burning sensation that's left on my shin
As I am forced to surrender, I think of my kin

I feel the cold heavy shackles that lock me in
The heaviness of the chains that crush me from within
The tightness of the locks that make me feel grim
And there's no escaping from the grips of my sin

I hear the crack of the whip, as it flys' through the air
I feel the rough leather burn my skin from out of nowhere
Its shiney black leather breaks the skin without a care
As I hear another swoosh of leather fly through air

I feel my body grow numb as my body grows cold
No longer feeling the lash that would scold
The sound of the whip in the air no longer holds
As I fall to my knees no longer feeling bold

I now feel the cold damp earth as I'm laid to rest
I feel the weight of the world upon my chest
My failure is my greatest sin, did I do my best
As I die tonight another killer takes my place

All poems included here are just first draft's. I hadn't written poetry for a few years, so to polish my art and find my muse I posted some quickly written poems on these pages so I could see your response. It has helped me by reading your reviews about my poems (all of which I have taken into consideration) all comments have helped me improve my work a great deal. Thank you. I realy enjoy reading all your poems. I find some very insperational, some very heart felt, some very deep, which has helped me to push myself and dig deeper. Very deep, on some occasions. So my own poetry has vastly improved- since I have joined this sight, it has certainly helps splur me on. Thank You for all your imput and replies, please keep it up. It has helped educate me and make me a better writer. So if you would like to read more of my poems (the ones I've taken time over, polished them, played with them, worked on them till they truly worked)for your pleasure I have now with confidence published my own book.
