Like Me.

I'm not a bad man nor am I that good
My thoughts are not blinded by hate
I love people, not what they do
But I am careful with who and how I love

Children find a place in my heart
Even though I don't have any now
And when I give, I give without being ask
Most of my offerings are of the spirit

The world doesn't owe me or rule me
Riches for me are not gold
Friendship is cherished more
Trust is the most fragile and precious gem

A gift of time and understanding
Are my greatest pleasures
Trying to feel someone else's pains
Will take my life eventually

Neigh, not taken, but my gift to strangers
Not because I owe them or they deserve it
But because in the end it's the best I can give
I will not be their Judge, they are human
Like me.
