Like a Rose

Thorns stick out, sharp indeed;

shining in the sun,

falling like leaves.

Some will cover and nourish the ground;

others, they drop and make not a sound.

For they are like a rose.

With it's sweet smell and beauty,

that is embraced by much;

yet unable to grab hold,

to reach out and touch.

For they are like a rose.

Gregory Witcher

My name is Gregory Dee Witcher. I was born in March of 1978, in a small town called Starr. I have four other siblings, and a host of family. I started writing poetry to help others with pain that they couldn't explain. It is only after a while that my poetry is actual revelation to me. For that I thank God and give Him all the Glory. more…
