Let There Be Mirth

"...for he saith of sorrow: "It may be very clever of the gods,
but he doth not understand' " ... Limpang-Tung,
god of mirth and melodious minstrels, in The Gods of Pagana

Please don't raise paeans of praise about Heaven's great girth,
For I'm bored by your stories of Krishna's rebirth.
You can't Buddha me, voodoo me, riff on the worth
Of God's love-from-above to an Allah-mode earth
Laced with faith, force and hatred from Nome down to Perth.
Small gods all, of their gall Yahweh knows we've no dearth.
Rout them out! How about a religion of mirth?
