Let me see the light!

I was surrounded by the corpses of dreams
with a tear dropping down to the ashes of hopes

The black crow flew
stood and beak my head
And he screamed - You are dead!

I raised my eyes
See the blood covering skies
See the crow-sender prince of vice
With mighty wicked anger in his eyes
Laughing in hatred
You are dead You are dead!

All life went before me
to no return
I stood empty with a death in my soul
The anger filled my head
I screamed why
Why why am I dead?

He laughed and came to grab
I resisted but couldn't him stop
Pulling underneath
Treacherously undermined
Far from the light
Into the misery of sublime

And feeling empty grasping for air
I couldn't move couldn't say
In the agony of pain
A thought flew thru my brain
There is a Way!

I felt my hand and raising high
I screamed loud Lord on High
Hear me this night
forgive my empty fight
Let me see the light!

It was quiet, and I was free
I gasped for more air
And saw the cross far away
With the bright light reaching me

I turned around and saw the glimpse
Of the disappearing darkness with
The Crow and Satan in it's midst

The light of the cross came thru
and my soul was anew
but I kept whispering Jesus Jesus please forgive
feeling relieved by the love I never knew.
