Leaves

The life of a leaf
 Is a most interesting thing
 They are born
 They die
 But first they change
 Before dropping
 To the stiff ground below
Some say they change because of the weather
Backed up by science and facts
 Though
Some believe what I know to be true
 That leaves never ghange
 They are painted
By the spirits of the wind
 Constantly
 Brushing past
 Covering them little by little
 So when you see
 The leaves that fall
 Do more than glance
 Look
 Wonder
 About how a little thing
 Can paint the world
