just biding time

I find it useless
to linger any further
in this place called Life,

it is becoming
more depressing
with each passing day,

what was once sacred
has become sacrireligious

what was taboo
has become culture

the have's and have-nots
never speak
and seldom even look
at each other,

the wind carries
the stench of war
from shore to shore

signs of disrepect
for nature cover
the ground like
flies swarming over a corpse
in the heat of day

water has the taste of iron
bread has mold
my stories told -
so be it.  the blissful end.
