Inspiration For A Sonnet

Here let me pause, observe majestic view;
The sky is mantle o'er extensive scene,
So fresh the mountain air, how soft its blue,
The waving grovers in vales of vital green
With flowered fields, a lake with azure face
And roaring torrents lulled by lake to rest
When meet with curling melting and cool embrace
And white clouds melting on a mountain's breast.
The happy landscape smiles upon the sky?
There lies my path falls before each eye
That both admire but can I capture all?
There lies my path as poet, it inspires,
The hills, the vales, the streams become like lyres.
