Insecurities

The tears stream down my face
And fall on my pillowcase.

The weight of the world is on my shoulders,
Like two massive boulders.

Why is it this hard,
Am I really this scarred?
On the inside only,
My quiet words are lonely

Is it normal to feel this way?
And to keep my friends at bay,
From the truth in my heart,
No it's not very smart.
But it's what I do.

I feel ugly and weak,
I guess I am a major freak,
Someone so far from normal,
With no date to the formal.

A smile is put on my face,
To cover up every trace
Of insecurites.
