In your Shadows

Lurking in the shadows,
watching your every move.
Feeding on your fears and thoughts,
It's like their human food.
Blinded by the sunlight,
discovered by the moon.

Stuck behind a glass window,
that blocks them from realities attitude.
Lost in the sea of dreams,
entertained by their stories.
Stuck in an illusion scene,
blocking out memories.
As you do not see me,
I fade into these shadows.

Whispering to my love,
but to you it's only a chill to your blood.
I'm invisible to the world,
but I do not care.
I want to only be seen by you,
but I'm only like a ghost in the air.

I'm growing cold my body numb still,
the shadows are more comforting,
than your sleeping pills.
I do not need shots,
and no medication can cure me.
For your love I will fade into the shadows
and go still like a hot day over the sea.
