In the Eyes of the Tiger

Tiffany Ann Hurd

In the eye of the fire,
a child's voice is lost.
In the eyes of the tiger,
lives are ended at any cost.
No doubt of mine that in the night,
men have wars over civil rights.
Daytime Emmies and flashes of gold,
a mother holds the child as the father scolds.
Days and nights as opposites attract,
this is not fiction, just fact.
