Born in Durban South Africa. Father was German,Mother half German half Scottish.Father repatriated toGermany,when Hitler was marching into Poland.I was only a few months old.Our home town was Berlin.Father was called up on arrival in Germany.Fought on the Russian front,went missing in 1943.TO THIS DAY WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM.My mother,my two sisters and I fled to Poland .Lived for almost two years,as fugitives.When the Russians came,fled back to Berlin,greeted by constant bombing.Returned to South Africa in 1947 after spending six months in a displaced persons camp in Scotland.Went to German boarding school,the to high school in Durban.Qualified as a trained nurse at Addington hospital,married a Hollander in 1959,still married,he is an invalid,had five children,all of them a joy.I also practiced as an insurance consultant for twenty yearsHave always written since I was 9 years old and made up my own music,also since then. more…
