I lost you... though I loved you

I didn't care for the grail,
I cherished drinking from it together with you...

I didn't care for the peak of Olympus,
I cherished holding your hand
Gazing eternally upon the world...

I didn't care for the treasures of Atlantis,
I cherished us gifting it unto those in need ushering in a brighter dawn...

I did care when we traversed a menial street... and said there is someone who would love to meet you...
As I did, you turned from me and said to the enigma and said I do...

I knew all to well life is never fair, and so for powerlessness yet again I didn't care...

Yet here you stand and ask me why for you do I no longer care?
You were all there was to me don't you see! You took the only one who ever lived there.

I left this truth hidden perhaps the cause to my regret...
To my adventure of life you were there a kiss, a wound, my love too? Why in these times never could you tell me that you couldn't share these times with me for three was another whom you loved as I did you.

Silence can be a lie, just as a life lived a vivid truth,
I am not so cold that our friendship I would have denied No!
Even without your live would I stand true a confidante ever at your side...
