I have no place to go

As i walk down the seldom-traveled path,
all i can think about is my homework from math;
wishing i could take a hot bath.

I approach my front door with alarm,
hoping i won't shake up in harm;
and you say I'm your good luck charm.

With heroin all over the wooden floor,
this is the reason why I'm poor;
i don't want to become a whore.

I hear the slam from the metal gate,
i know tonight there's nothing on my plate;
that's why I'm under weight.

You come in, drunk and high;
sometimes i wish i could just say goodbye;
or else I'd die.

Everyday I'd wake up with bruises all over my face,
every time i wish i could just live in grace;
but you won't give me my space.

I'd leave for school at eight,
all i have is my friend Kate;
if not, I'd probably live in hate.

I hope to finish high school,
and not drop-out like a fool;
that's my new rule.

In this so called life, all i have is my education,
soon, i hope to be at the train station;
it will seem like a great vacation.

University has come, now i must leave,
all you need to do is believe;
then you can perceive.
