Hyper-Simpatico

It is time again;
The air outside too close. we flee
To a vacuum where sweat is banished, yet
Wet skin still welcome. we relax here--
The rocks are on shore. you and i
And uncommitted sand lay on the current
To be carried away. but we come back.
A bad connection to the world makes us
Flip over the river's screen again,
And again.
I see the glint
That is mine alone in your eyes.
Naked and porous, skin softened by fertile waters, we make love by
Touching our minds lengthwise,
With the gentle relief of unshelved existence.
No ground forbids our feet their thirsty steps;
We are in over our heads, and we celebrate.
