Howling Wind
Howling Wind
The wind howled and the dust blew
it traveled through the air seamless in the blue
from hell's kitchen to the devils den
it came onto the prairies and into the glen
Then it raged through the fields of yellow corn
with a fury of Satan not withholding his scorn
it knocked down some trees and a small shed
then it crashed the house on the Simpson homestead
From side to side and end to end
a still finally fell over the town of Grand Bend
the wind had now gone and left its mark
leaving hydro wires down and life in the dark
We will rise once again from the winds storm
as the lights will restore and we will be warm
nature has a way of balancing the day
for the sun is now beaming and the wind is gone away
