Hopeless

I remember walking with you...
In the burning sunset's glow
Every step
Closer
To something
I searched for,
But always
So far away
From being within reach.
Wondering
If tomorrow would be the day
That I would hold,
Within my grasp
The moments
Wrapped in sleepy cobwebs
Drowning in silent cries
Only to be awaken
By the memories
I have of you,
In my dreams.

I believe the best poetry comes from the emotions we experience throughout our lives, whether it's happiness, sadness, victory, tragedy.... it's like singing a song with raw emotion, the best singers sing the song like it's their life.I live on the East Coast of Canada. Music and poetry have been a huge part of my life since I was a teenager. Music and poetry are healing, they are the best therapy in the world!! I hope you enjoy my work :) more…
