The English shiver

Dumont and Louis Riel
Fought for justice
Fought the ignorance
They dreamed out loud
Made their people proud
Free at last we're free at last
Some say forget the past
Others want us to fix it
She showed us the path
And thought us the tricks
She was royalty
More like you and me
She was an angel
Looking over the forgotten ones
Never asked for much
But managed to love the world
