 Emptiness echoes around me,
 New moon tonight, no light,
 Midnight lingers,

 I sob sorrows, that are not for show,
 Here in the shadows,

 While I am alone,
 I weep for things gone,
 I wail pain untold,
 Echoes sound around,
 Shiver, shake,
 light is long gone from this place,
 no path to follow,
 nowhere to even go,
 In the dark of the night,

 I cry, that will never be heard,
 I sob out troubles, that are not known
 Night is at its darkest,
