Heartless Games

I promised myself I wouldn't fall for your guilt

I promised myself I wouldn't fall for your tricks

Nor give into anything else you had up your sleeve

But, I'll admit you got me good

You dug your claws in so deep

You made me feel sorry for you

You made me feel guilty for you

Made me feel heartache that you had lost everything

You made me believe you really missed me

That you really wanted to see me

But I figured you out, and so did she

Once your little game started to unfold

Once you could no longer play "Mr. Nice Guy"

I got out before you could dig your claws in deeper, and so did she

Now your stuck in your own little game

You heatless bastard

Where now no one longer cares

That you have now indeed lost everything

That you have forever lost her and I

Where now you sit there and become twice as lonley

And twice the monster you were before

Where you no longer have the claws to dig in

And no one to thank but yourself

But you know what, that's not true

Cause I do thank you

I thank you because I'm stronger now

I thank you, cause I've seen who you are, and so has she

I thank you, cause in a way,

I'm glad you were never there

So that when I was older

I would never turn out to be like you
