Heartfelt Love

Watching the sun as it begin to decend,
So does the pain I once felt.
As the deep purple clouds consume the air,
Looking back over the hand I was delt.
Bruised by the depth of the darkness,
The sky seems to know my pain.
Longing to be caressed by someone,
Feeling the need to suddenly rain.
Suddenly a tear trickles down my face,
Releasing the hurt i've endured.
Crying out like a storm that approaches,
Not knowing if it's the rain for sure.
My heart rushing to release the hurt inside,
While I stand there suspended in time.
A new day begins as the sun starts to rise,
Drying these tears from my eyes.
Now that the darkness has gone again,
I can start my life anew.
