Haunting Note

The scripted etymololgy
on the cornerstone of
time we've spent
was fired by the blue-rimmed
ellipses of your owl-eyes
like Halloween moons
that unnerve the normally
steadfast sorceress
unsteady as she goes
onto a vast and haunted ground
filled with the tormented
shadows of twisted and
unnecessarily prolonged
trysts of want to be lovers
who ramble long enough
to wind up quarry
