Grave

I sleep in a grave, not dead, just sleeping
My cheeks are cold, my hands are still
Like Juliet I wait
But not for Romeo, for my heart beats for no one else
but me.
The grave is shallow, the rain falls down my face
Flowers grow wild at my feet
The worms keep away, for they know better.
Flowers bloom, warmed by the sun
My cold still body stirs
Life will spring forth from the earth,
For my life has just begun.
