Gene Pool

Take your legs, for instance
Reaching a leangth made resistant to gravity,
So that your mother would send you to
swimming lessons.

Remember her legs, back in the day
Fluttering child in your Grandmother's pool,
In order to grow into something worth
rewarding.

And if the reward is simply being born
Believe the compliment received from a
Stranger: "You must take after your Mother
with such brilliantly long legs."
