Gatekeeper

Gatekeepers are parents who assist their children to grow
The seeds of wisdom, to their children, they are compelled to sow
True gatekeepers can never be harsh, corrupt or vile
They are called to be for the children until their last mile

Can we carry this yoke to the end of our time?
It is the true test that assists our children to climb
We gatekeepers are not allowed vain glory to shine
Humility is our reward for which there is no crime

At lifes last calling we rest with a smile
We are gatekeepers passing on with a smile
