From Cradle To Grave
Once upon a time, he had glory.
As he lies in bed he can still reminisce.
But, little if any, will know his story.
His heart, his character, his first kiss.
He lies like a vegetable, but remembers still.
His strength, his good looks, and all of his will.
Power(less) now, not like before.
He thinks of a girl he used to adore.
His spirit is flattered because he knows what once was.
His heart is shattered because he knows what time does.
From a ball player, a prom, and a stroll on the beach.
To an old man-Just lying with youth well out of reach.
He sees his reflection in a mirror close by.
He wonders how long he must wait to die.
