Freedom's Pearl

Walking along the reflective soft dawn
I watch water and wonder why I'm here.
Time spans centuries, it moves this carved pawn
under right-angled gaps of Heaven's tear.
They collide with freedom's lazy curled yawn,
asleep-awake follows nature's despair.
New worlds explode then are quickly withdrawn
as old horizons collect past times' fear.

I smile life and slip it into the mind
while hard realization hits me with grace,
pen to paper scenery answers me.
Poetry! To dance on its edge I find,
the easy reason, to quietly chase
its beauty while my dark thoughts are set free.
