An Explosive Encounter
In the bright light that streamed past church windows:
colourful angled shades of ancient glass,
there were angels in the grip of laughter -
daydreams whisked me away to other worlds,
where wild songs echoed along beauty's walls,
I dreamt of peace and tranquil lakes of smiles;
cool reflections of the inner spirit.
Lace cloth rhythms rippled a wondrous dance,
faces gathered words which trickled from mouths
and happiness captured humanity,
the essence of all the goodness in life,
a stretched second of possibility
quietly roamed the gardens of Heaven -
my heartbeat soared and exploded in clouds.
