For a Red Roselle

In many ways you're like a rose,
with fair qualities honest and true;
Grace, beauty, kindness, and wisdom,
I'm blessed to have a friend like you.

You're always there to pick me up,
whenever I'm feeling blue;
And if I ever need advice,
I know I can count on you.

And like rose you bring joy,
there is no shadow of doubt;
What a pity for this world,
if you it were without.

How long we have until we part,
no man on Earth can tell;
But I'll always hold a place in my heart,
for a red Roselle.
