Father's Rights
her lies will kill my chances of ever coming clean
I can't bear to explain to them the twisted history
I won't throw her under the bus as she's done to me
I'll be the forgotten father
I'll be the bearer of atrocity
The cold shoulder, to say the least
Small talk... and simply ostracized
Watch my own son deny me
right before my very eyes
Invalid and impotent
I tremble in my torture chamber
All those times I tried to teach
Knowing they will not remember
The weight of this has crushed my heart
I can feel the lasting damage
Drunken rage and meddling
by the passive-aggressive savage
Goad me into killing
as if I wasn't already on the brink
Guessing I should just kill myself
That's what I think
Better to be snuffed out alone
then be sacrificed at the foot of her throne
