Excavating
he stood out
like
a steam-shovel among porta-potties
as he engineered his presentation
he claimed
that
sculptured marble didn't have to look
like David
or Venus failing semaphore
he said
It could be itself and more
under the canopy
of grasp or heft
Lo, the kiss of light
makes brass door knobs
works of art.
