Easy Escape

She put the gun to head
Her hands unable to cope
Shaking with fear
Tears spilling forth

An escape
That's all she needed
A way out
She knew what she had to do

A deep breath
That's all it took
The trembling stopped
Courage filled her

She held the cold revolver to her head
Eyes shut

An escape
That's all she needed
A way out…
