Dulling Pain

The truth it lingers,
As a stale smoke,
Within the atmosphere,
 Tears choke,
Money the object,
As lawyers, they win,
Equal to the crime,
They defend ..., its a sin,
Captured demons,
Swallowed by its fire,
Empty faith,
 Wants desire,
The sleeping flame,
A blackened heart,
Nothing echos,
Broken apart,
Cast out, beaten down,
As the dulling of pain forms,
Without protection,
From the flash of its storms,
Did what was right,
For so long,
As weakness teaches,
One to become strong,
If only love...,
Love cared,
But its just a word,
A word to be shared,
Reaching out in prayer,
With hope it might matter,
While into pieces,
