If I could take the distance away

But I can’t..

Wishes are not definite
Dreams do not always succeed
Hope lasts, but can dwindle
Faith now is just a thought

Present, now the past

Memories have faded
Emotions gone
Thoughts, were there but
No longer belong
Tears are no longer an issue
Patience, has no place to stay
Desire is confined

Recently something changed
As I came across a photo of you
And now..
Memories have come rushing back
Emotions have rekindled
Thoughts now are belonging
Tears are again the issue
Patience has a home
Desire is now set free
