Dreams of joy

I took a ride on fancy, across a cloudless sky
I climbed the highest mountain, reached the summit by and by
I frolicked in a river, chasing fireflies in the night
and I slid down a rainbow, and it was pure delight
 .
I found the pot of gold, at the rainbows far off end
I shared some special moments with a long forgotten friend
I dreamed of what I wanted, and of what can never be
And let the joy of dreaming take the sadness far from me
 .
I sat and watched the sunset, saw it rise again at dawn
It was peaceful in my mind, every discord was long gone
My thoughts were all of joy, of pleasantries, not doom
And I did it all, and never left, my dimly lit bedroom!
