Dreaming Across Seas
I dream of a fantasy
Where you and I
Are not divided by a sea
Or thoughts
That streamed off in a tangent
Like I know our love would
That would explode in the darkness
Like a managerie of fireworks
Giving hope to those
Who look down on the ground
Cause everyone looks where they want to go
And they'll see hope and light
And realize its alright tonight
They'll look up with a smile on their face
Not the normal one that cracks holding hate
But I awake
To empty bottles of scotch
To dreams that become passing marks
Like drawing an ugly masterpiece
That I can't stop looking at
Thinking there is some deep meaning
But there is only poor talent.
There is only empty bottles
For when we partake of life
It inevitably becomes empty.
Just like me.
After every dream
Across the seas
So I dream of a fantasy
Where I stay a dream
