Dr. Patagonia

dr. patagonia called it acne
similar things were said to Amy
she was shy but knew where to visit
and after that she knew well of a clinic
where she could volunteer awhile
the old men there forgot to smile
but Amy knew a little secret
and knew how long to keep it
and knew when to leave it
in a pile with all the others
like acne popping on the mirrors
covering every face with filth
that Amy could identify as guilt
which the doctor told her was healthy
watch for shame it is more stealthy
and turns you into a bad girl
where as your actions only curl
up the edges for a moment's glimpse
you can do anything... if then you repent
